River Falls Park at Weldon's Landing
The Roanoke River offers many opportunities for fun and relaxation. Whether it's fishing, canoeing and kayaking or just enjoying the view of the rapids, you'll feel refreshed after a visit to the river.
Between the months of mid-March to early June the Rockfish (stripped bass) are running. During this time hundreds of fishermen converge onto the river to enjoy the catch of the day. It's not uncommon for a party of fishermen to report catching 100 fish a day*.
