Downtown Weldon will be filled with
excitement during May Daze on May 6th and 7th.
The festivities will get underway on
Friday, May 6th with the opening of the midway between
6:00pm -10:00 pm with Poythress Amusements providing nearly two dozen rides,
games and concessions for every to enjoy.
A Street Dance will be held between 7:00 pm-10:00 pm in
the parking lot at Washington Ave. & 2nd St.
The Music will be provide by Southern Draw from the Gaston Chattahoochee
Country Club. There will also be a
performance from the Chockoyotte Creek Cloggers.
There will be a wide variety of Food Vendors to fill
everyone's delight.
On Saturday May 7, the Amusement Rides
begin a 10:00am and will continue until 5:00pm.
The Stage Entertainment also begins at 10:00 am with
the Evangelistic Church of Deliverance Praise Team.
The Roanoke Valley Cloggers will perform at 11:00 am then the Weldon High
School Band will that the stage at 11:30 am.
Tommy Chase “ One Man Band” with a variety of music including Beach
Music, Rock and Country will perform two shows during the afternoon with the
AARP Clown Corp of Littleton mixing with the crowd with laughs for everyone.
The Festival Market Place will include Food Vendors,
Antique, Arts & Crafts & Flea Market Vendors and the Downtown Businesses
will be holding Sidewalk Sales with bargains to shop for.
