Dear Vendor:

Thank you for participating in Downtown Weldon’s May Daze festivities on May 6 & 7, 2005.  The festival site will be in the 100 block of Washington Avenue .

Your vendor space number is _____________.  It will be marked on the pavement.

Washington Avenue and part of First Street will be block off from traffic during the festival times.

Set up times are as follows and vendors will need to comply with the rules as listed below.

·   For the Two Day Food Vendors, set up time, Friday May 6 will be between 3:00PM – 5:00PM .

·   For the Saturday Vendors, set up time will be between 7:00 AM – 9:00 AM

·   All vehicles need to be removed from the vendor area by 5:00PM Friday and 9:00AM Saturday

·   Vendors arriving late will not be permitted in the vendor area with their vehicles.

·   Vendors may park in the lot behind the Farmers Exchange building and/or behind Town Hall.

·   Vendor spaces will be marked along the street and booth set-up must be within the chalk lines on the pavement.

·   The front of each booth should be lined up with the front lines of the parking spaces.  It will not be acceptable for your booth to extend beyond the “T” lines of the parking spaces.

·   You may use the sidewalk space for storage or display. (There will not be any pedestrian traffic on the sidewalks).

·   No vehicles will be allowed in the vendor area until the end of the advertised festival times.

·   Tents are permitted, but please take note that the vendor area is on the street, therefore there will not be any place for you to drive in tent stakes.  Your tents will need to be the type that does not require tent stakes

·   Vendors with concession trailers need to arrive early (at 3PM Friday or 7AM Saturday) so the trailers can be put in place before the table/tent vendors begin to set up.

·   Vendors must comply with all Halifax County Health Dept guidelines and practice all safety standards.  If you have any questions, you may call Jeff Dillard at the Halifax County Health Dept at 252-583-5021

There is no rain date and in the event of rain, vendors need to insure that their merchandise is protected from the rain since it will not be permitted for vendors to re-enter the vendor area with their vehicles until the end the advertised festival times.

If you should need any additional information on the day of the event, it will be available from the Festival Command Center located within the Coca Cola Trailer near the entrance to the stage area.  There will be several volunteers on site as well.  Please contact the Weldon Town Hall at 536-4836 if you have any concerns prior to the festival.  Thank you and I look forward to seeing you during May Daze.
